1. Scope

This Liability & Safety Disclaimer applies to all products and services provided by Kildare Logs. By purchasing, accepting delivery, or using our products, you agree to the terms set out below.

2. Inherent Risks

Firewood and other solid fuels present inherent risks including, but not limited to:

  • Sparks, embers, and smoke.
  • High temperatures and risk of burns.
  • Potential for accidental fires if used improperly.
  • Possible presence of insects or natural debris.

Kildare Logs accepts no responsibility for injury, damage, or loss resulting from the storage, handling, or use of our products.

3. Safe Use Guidelines

Customers are solely responsible for ensuring safe and lawful use of our products. We recommend:

  • Only burning wood in appropriate, well-maintained appliances.
  • Keeping a safe distance from flammable materials.
  • Never leaving fires unattended.
  • Using proper ventilation to avoid smoke inhalation or carbon monoxide build-up.
  • Complying with all local fire safety regulations.

4. Storage Risks

Wood should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area away from ignition sources. We are not liable for mould, degradation, or pest issues arising from improper storage.

5. Delivery Safety

All deliveries are made to the nearest safe, accessible point as determined by our driver or the contracted carrier. We are not responsible for damage to property caused by delivery where the customer has instructed access that is narrow, uneven, or otherwise unsafe.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the price paid for the goods.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • All risk passes to the customer upon delivery.

7. Indemnity

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Kildare Logs Ltd, its employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the use or misuse of our products.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Republic of Ireland.
